A beautiful silver acorn pendant, made using silver metal clay. I created my own mold, which I then filled with recycled fine silver clay, when it was dry it was fired and soldered to a handmade bail made with recycled silver wire. It has been oxidised and polished to show the textures and depth of the piece. The whole item is finished with a protective coating to prevent tarnish. The pendant has a concave back.
Acorns are the nut of the oak tree. They usually have a single seed in a tough shell, which take 6-24 months to mature. Upwards of 100 species of birds and animals include acorns in their diets. Without the energy given by nuts, some animals will not be able to produce. Oak trees (Quercus sp.) are incredibly valuable for wildlife.
This unique pendant measures 2.5 cm (1") in length and 1.2 cm (0.47") at the widest point. It comes with an 18" recycled sterling silver trace chain.
Every item is presented in a recycled pillow box with an anti-tarnish tab, and is posted safely in recyclable wrapping. If you would like to add a giftbox to your order it would make the perfect gift for those who love woodland jewellery or rustic jewelry.
